Update

An update on the growth in the garden. The garlics above that I am holding is garlic grown from our AP system. They seem to be more swollen and look just as healthy if not more so than the dirt garden ones which are below it on.

The blackberries are going crazy! Just need for them to ripen up now. I am convinced that they will definately grow in ap. I will cut the two taller stems down at the end of the season and then just let it go, the fruit has grown both on this years as well as last years wood just as prolific as each other.

The thyme is also growing crazy! Who said you couldn't grow thyme in AP!

Potaoe beds and no-dig potatoes are really filling out. Will be interesting to see how the yeilds go with the no dig style.

The vegie boxes/wicking beds are now all in, online and planted up with seeds and seedlings. They are looking great!

Our fruit trees are setting fruit really well. We have the laundry grey water going onto them to make sure they get good water (safe laudry power by the way) during the setting period.

Starting to run out of space - read: have ran out and now looking to use more spae somewhere... The old wheelbarrow has been platned up a while ago and strawberries and beets and lettuce have been harvested so far.

Fish going well, some well over 500g I would say, but the water temps are creeping up. 22 tonight and we have a 32 deg day forcast.... hope they make it trhough tomorrow... I will keep keeping an eye on the forecast and pull them all out if we have another few days of heat.... the silvers, bass and cod are feeding like crazy now, so should be fine if they come out.

Ahhhh all going well and can't wait to reap in the rewards of this summer crop!

Yummy Bunnies

Tano-Li helped me make these this morning. Looks like he is going to be a bit of a baker! They are a made up recipe, sourdough fruit/spice buns! They smell fantastic! Haven''t tasted them yet as they are cooling, but hmmmmmmmmmmmm, mouth is watering!

Bread Baking Day

Baking some bread today. Doing a triple recipe so that we have plenty in the freezer for the next week or so. Need to find myself a good gluten free bread for Kobe-Li....
