We have heaps of sunflowers spread through the garden and they attract bees and lady beetles by the hundreds. Great for natural pest control. No aphid problems on any of our vegies!

First Full AP Meal!
Put my new net to good use. Only a small silver at 21cm and 198g. I'm guessing they are more like a 2yr grow out. All the salad is ap as well. Lettuce, cucumber, beans and tomatoes. Kept the fish simple, lightly salted, pan fried in a bit of butter. Flesh was very sweet as far as fish go and a clean taste. No muddy taste like some web sites suggest, so I don't think I will ever bother purging. Flesh melts in the mouth! Very tasty indeed!!!! Now I can't wait for the other fish to fatten up!

Produce!
Picked these beauties tonight with heaps more still to come! The biggest one was almost 500grams! Not bad for a Lebanese cucumber! There is still heaps of beetroot, but we have run out of preserved beetroot so time to make some more. My wife makes a pretty mean preserved beetroot and that's coming from me (I HATE beetroot!!!).
This image is one of a dinner we had a few nights ago. Everything either came from our AP or dirt garden except cheese, olive oil, salt and pepper! Zucchini boats stuffed with purple conga potato, cheese, zucchini flesh and carrot, topped with grated cheese. The salad had cucumber, a variety of lettuce, a variety of rainbow chard (silverbeet), sunflower petals and cheese. I can't wait until the tomatoes ripen to add them to the salad and the carrots to mature to do likewise!

Happy New Year With Some More Tanks and Fish!
Got a free 2000lt fish tank, some autopots, and 6 catfish, (thanks David and all the best for you and your family) 2 of which are over 300mm long!
My biggest silver perch is about 250-270mm long and they now look very small!
The plan is to overhaul my old system and use the 2000lt tank as a trout/catfish tank and one of my 500lt tanks as a header/fingerling tank. Will play around with set-up ideas and post when ready.
Here are some pics:
